Today … Let’s talk about this amazing Recipe, Yes! You heard right we are talking about  “Chinese Pakoda Recipe”

  • Chinese Pakora’s are crispy, spiced vegetable fritters.
  • It has a great mixture of green vegetables, spices, and sauces.
  • Chinese pakoda are crispy or crunchy and spiced fried vegetable fritters.
  • It is generally dark red in colour and is filled with indo chinese flavours, like chilli sauce, vinegar and soy sauce.


1½ Cup Cabbage Finely Chopped

1 Cup Spring Onion Finely Chopped

1/2 Cup Carrot Grated

1/3 Cup Beetroot Crushed

1/2 Cup Cornflour

1/2 Cup All Purpose Flour

2-3 Green chilli Crushed

1 Tbsp Ginger garlic Finely Chopped or Paste

1 Tbsp Red Chili Sauce

1 Tsp Vinegar

2 Tbsp Soy Sauce

1 Tbsp Green Chilli Sauce

Salt to Taste


  • In a large mixing bowl, add finely chopped cabbage, grated carrots, chopped green onion, crushed beetroot, red chili sauce , green chilies, ginger garlic paste, green chili sauce, say sauce, vinegar and salt to taste and then mix all ingredients very well.

  • Next add corn flour, all purpose flour, and then mix until it forms a gooey batter.

  • The flour will absorb all the moisture so you don’t have to add much water to it.

  • If the batter is sticky add all flour according to make the right consistency.
  • In a kadhai heat oil well to fry the fritters(Squander)

  • Next pour in uneven medium size balls of batter into the oil using your hand.
  • Fry Pakoda on a medium flame and till golden brown from all sides.
  • Once ready take them out on a kitchen towel lined plate and Serve Chinese pakoda with schezwan sauce, Chili sauce (sweet or spicy) or tomato sauce.

  • while serving garnish with some shredded cabbage or chopped spring onion greens or coriander leaves.
