Today I’ll tell you the Easiest Chocolate Cake Recipe after which you’ll be amazed, for that stay tuned till the last for Important Tips and be a Die-hard chocolate cake lover.
Cake may be a sort of sweet food made up of flour, sugar, and other ingredients, that are usually baked.
The most common used cake ingredients are flour, sugar, eggs, butter or oil or margarine, a liquid, and leavening agents, like bicarbonate of soda or baking soda
- Granulated white sugar – 2 cups (400 grams)
- All-purpose flour – 1 3/4 cups (245 grams)
- Unsweetened cocoa powder – 3/4 cup (75 grams)
- Baking powder – 1 1/2 tsp
- Baking soda -1 1/2 tsp
- Salt – 1/2 tsp
- Large eggs – 2
- Warm water – 1 cup (240 ml)
- Milk – 1 cup (240 ml)
- Corn, vegetable, safflower, or canola oil – 1/2 cup (120 ml)
- Pure vanilla extract-1 1/2 tsp
- Semi-sweet or bittersweet chocolate, coarsely chopped – 6 ounces (180 grams)
- Unsalted butter, room temperature – 1 cup (226 grams)
- Confectioners (powdered or icing sugar-sifted)-2 cups (230 grams)
- Pure vanilla extract-1 1/2 tsp
How does one make the simplest chocolate cake? Without wasting time let’s jump to the
- Preheat oven to 350º F.
- Prepare two 9-inch cake pans by buttering and lightly flouring or spraying with baking spray.
FOR THE CHOCOLATE CAKE:-
- Add flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in an outsized bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer.
- Whisk the mix using your paddle attachment, stir through flour mixture until combined well.
- Add milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla to the flour mixture and blend together on medium speed until well combined.
- Reduce speed and punctiliously add boiling water to the cake batter until well combined.
- Divide the cake batter equally between the 2 prepared cake pans.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, until a skewer or a cake tester inserted within the middle of the cake, comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and permit to chill for about 10 minutes, remove from the pan, and funky completely.
- Frost cake with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting.
♦POINTS TO REMEMBER:-
- Make sure you preheat your oven before starting.
- We’ve included temperatures for normal AND fan or convection ovens.
- If using removable pans, note that they’re NOT 100% leakproof.
- Very thin cake batters like this will leak through the bottom.
- To combat this issue, line the bottom with butter paper arising where the edges meet the bottom to make a ‘cover’.
- Place a baking sheet on the shelf at the bottom of the cake pan to catch any stray drips.
- Don’t put cake pans directly on the pan because the heat will affect the bottom of your cakes.
- Let cakes cool COMPLETELY before frosting.
