- This delicious crunchy and crispy paneer starters is not only easy to make but very much ideal for party snacks just that you need to make well ahead and freezing and then frying.
- Just when needed, you can be taken out and fried. that’s how I do.
Cubes paneer/ Cottage Cheese – 7
Turmeric/ Haldi – 1/2 tsp
Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Pepper – 1/2 tsp
Mixed Herbs – 1/2 tsp
Salt To Taste
Corn Flour – 1/2 Cup
Pepper – 1/2 tsp
Breadcrumbs – 1/2 cup
Salt – 1/2 tsp
Water – 1/2 cup
Oil For Deep Frying
HOW TO MAKE PANEER POPCORN?
Firstly, In a large mixing bowl take 15 cut paneer cubes one by half-inch cubes.
Add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste,¼ tsp turmeric, ½ tsp pepper, ½ tsp mixed herbs, and ¼ tsp salt.
Mix well making sure all the spices are coated well with the batter.
Now prepare cornflour paste by taking ¼ cup cornflour, ¼ tsp pepper, and ¼ tsp salt in a small mixing bowl.
Add ¼ cup water and prepare smooth lump free thick batter. Further, roll into breadcrumbs coating all the sides.
Mix everything well and set it aside.
Dip the coated paneer again into corn flour batter and coat with breadcrumbs (Double coating)
Deep fry in hot oil or bake at 180 degrees Celsius for 12 to 15 minutes.
Stir occasionally, keeping the flame on medium.
Fry till the paneer turns golden brown and crispy.
Finally, then drain over a kitchen towel and serve paneer popcorn with red chili sauce or sauce tomato sauce.
